Classic Accessories + Wishlist

There are staples in a kitchen that will never grow old. Styles may change; yes. But the purpose and use of certain items found in a kitchen drawer or cupboard never cease to exist. Although I have mentioned some of my favorite pieces in other posts, I felt as though these gems deserved a condensed version of their very own. Here they are for you to see and purchase because let’s be honest, they will make a perfect gift for the kitchen lover or yourself. 🙂

Speaking of some of my favorites…don’t get me wrong, I’m just as guilty as the next person to go from Halloween to Christmas in about 0.02 seconds. However, Thanksgiving deserves it’s place in the spotlight! I put together a fun Thanksgiving wishlist for you and for me. 🙂

Have the best Wednesday!

Friday Favorites

Friday Favorites 01We made it to Friday, so it’s basically the weekend. After today, I will be changing into some pajamas and cozying up on the couch. Then, I will be dancing my heart out at a wedding on Saturday night! I hope everyone has a fun and relaxing weekend ahead!

One.https://api.shopstyle.com/action/apiVisitRetailer?id=3261105&pid=uid7716-33410654-56

Last night I went to Sephora and thought about possibly trying a new mascara. Buuuut Cliniques High Impact Mascara has been tried and true. It lasts all day, doesn’t smudge, and is easy to take off at night. I love it and always buy it in “Black 01.”

Two.

On our coffee table, I have a candle holder that is basically a modge podge of this holder and this one. The one we own isn’t in stock anymore or else I’d be sharing it with you in a heartbeat! Each season I try to fill it with something seasonal and love it!

My Taco Soup has perfect for this time of year. 1. It’s easy to make. 2. I love taking it to my friends after they just had a baby. 🙂 3. It freezes great! 4. It’s delicious! You find find the recipe, here!

Four.

This verse stuck out this week and was extremely comforting.

“I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” John 16: 33.

Five.

These jeans. Amen.

Happy Friday! 🙂

I’m linking up with Erika, Narci, Andrea, Tif, April, and Karli!

What’s Up Wednesday: October

whatsupwed1 WUWquestions editWhat we’re eating this week:Homemade Granola-- Recipe at: Stephanie-spring.comMy homemade granola. I’ve made it two weeks in a row and we’ve been having it for breakfast or just to snack on. 🙂

What I’m reminiscing about:How this guy has been dancing in heaven for almost a year now.

What I’m loving:bible360image1

Eric and I both use the YouVersion Bible App for our devotions once and awhile to switch things up. It’s free to download and super easy to use. This month I started the plan, “30 Days of Heartwork.” The idea is to live different for 30 days and it may just change the way you live forever. It’s extremely powerful and written beautifully.

What we’ve been up to:

We have been trying to slow down any chance we can get. 🙂

What I’m dreading:3fdc285b1c0b672448e0fed705f6ef80_xlarge

Okay, here’s the deal. I loathe taking my make-up off at night. It drives me nuts. I love my F.A.B. cleanser, and coconut oil, but I’m also open to switching it up just for my nighttime routine of removing make-up. Any tips or tricks that anyone has to make it quick and easier?!

What I’m working on:

I’m giving away some of my favorite things in December! (Like that lovely book above!) ;)Keep an eye out for them for your chance to win!

What I’m excited about:

ALL THINGS HOLIDAY! I love the Holidays so much!

What I’m watching/reading:

I watched this movie last week and cried through almost all of it. It made me want to call up my entire family and have them over. Such a good reminder of what matters.

I’m slowly reading my way through this book and absolutely love her insight and perspective.

What I’m listening to:

This song.

What I’m wearing:A really random assortment of teacher attire, casual, and classic looks.

What I’m doing this weekend:

Get ready…we have a wedding! As if that’s new news around here. 😉

What I’m looking forward to next month:

Being with family for Thanksgiving. 🙂

What else is new:

Each day has been bringing it’s own joys as well as challenges. This is definitely a season of change but I am SO thankful I am surrounded by the people I love.

Bonus Question: What is your favorite Halloween memory/picture/tradition?

One year I begged and begged my Mom for a specific costume (I forget what it was now) and the second I put it on I started crying because it itched so bad! I took it off within a few minutes and wore “regular clothes” to trick or treat. ha! I don’t think that’s a favorite but it’s definitely memorable. 😉

You can always follow me on Instagram, Bloglovin, Pinterest, or e-mail with any questions or comments!

Have the best Wednesday!

Unreal Candy

Unreal CandyUnreal CandyUnreal Candy Unreal CandyUnreal CandyUnreal Candy Unreal CandyWhen I was younger, I never understood my Mom’s craving of chocolate. I liked it and all but craaaaaving it? Yeah, that didn’t exactly happen to me. Over the past several years, I have slowly come to understand this thing people talk about and my Mom’s sweet tooth cravings. It’s ironic that this sweet tooth decided to grace me with it’s presence at a time in life where I really wanted to start creating a healthier lifestyle for myself. I switched to eating real food that was good for me and actually adding to my life rather than hindering it. What’s a girl to do? Life’s all about balance but there are still some foods that just shouldn’t be ingested for the amount of harm it may cause.

Unreal candy is 100% real and leaves little to no room for feeling guilty about reaching for that second or third peanut butter or almond butter cup! All their candy is certified fair trade, 100% made in North America, and has my weakness: dark chocolate options, which are also 100% vegan! The best part? They taste amazing and will cure that sweet craving we all have. I love real food and Unreal Candy is just that! xo
