One.You know I’m already a fan of all things from the Magnolia line. (Hence, the chair we bought months ago and still LOVE!) When I came home to an unexpected package last week from my Mother-in-law it included so many thoughtful goodies, including this Magnolia Journal. It’s all about intentional living and could not be more timely.
Two.If you need to ditch the Girl Scout cookies OR need a fun St. Patrick’s Day drink, you can go here! I also linked two of my favorite Vital Proteins for you!
If you use Vital Proteins, what other kinds should I try?!
Three.
In hopes that Spring is just around the corner, I thought I’d start stocking up on some fun Spring colors. When Emily asked me if I wanted to try some LipSense, I was all for it and picked out Beige Champagne. (How fun is that name?!) I’ve heard great things about LipSense but really wanted to try it out for myself. I wore it to dinner and by the end of the night…it was still on. It honestly lasts SO long, which is amazing! I paired the color with the moisturizing gloss and loved it! You can see more colors and follow Emily here and be sure to follow her link to Facebook! She is the sweetest!
Five. These two are my best friends. One lives ten minutes away. One lives across the pond in Germany. But today, we’re spending the day together eating, catching up on life, and all the essential shows we haven’t been able to watch together. ha! Seriously, I have the best friends a girl could ask for.
Also, if you want to see a bump update, some pictures from a mini vacation that Eric and I took (and where we stayed), plus, one of my favorite quotes, go here and take a look at some of my most recent posts! Happy Friday everyone!
I’ve recently revamped my hot cocoa recipe to make it much healthier. Don’t get me wrong, a sweet drink is fun once and awhile but I can’t do it all the time.
Ingredients:
1 cup coconut milk (or any nut milk of preference)
1 Tbsp of cocoa powder
Splash of syrup to taste
What to do:
Yes, it’s really this easy. Heat milk in a saucepan over medium-low heat (or in the microwave) until hot. Add cocoa powder and syrup. Mix. Froth.
Two.Apparently last Friday was National Banana Bread Day. I completely missed the memo until later in the day. Since it’s a favorite (or if you’re just looking for something to bake this weekend) here you go! Find the recipe, here!
Three.Eric and I snuck away for a little vacation and fell in love with our Airbnb! You can check it out here! It was GORGEOUS and such a fun location!
Four.Last weekend we made Bone Broth. We used Dr. Axe’s Beef Bone Broth recipe and it was delicious! It contains a ton of minerals, supports the immune system, and helps with gut health. Plus, it has collagen which is great all the time but especially during pregnancy. 🙂
Five.
REPORT CARDS ARE DONE and it’s almost the weekend! Happy Friday!
…and just like that it’s the end of February! Time is flying! February was so much fun and filled with a lot of great memories. I can’t wait to see what March holds. 🙂
What we’re eating this week:Remember this Autumn Roast that I talk about all the time? I made a version of the roast into tacos and cannot wait to share the recipe with you!
I also have been adding one of these three flavors to all my smoothies lately! Vital Proteins are my favorite!
I love hearing when readers try these recipes. What kind is your favorite?!
What I’m reminiscing about:Eric and I have been reminiscing a lot lately about when we first started dating. (A blurry but favorite picture). 🙂 We talk about how much we loved our trip to Italy almost weekly and reminisce about it. (Capri, Tuscany, Florence). I also bring up sunshine and summertime pretty often. It feels like we have been reminiscing a lot lately and it is so fun to look back and see where we are now.
What I’m loving:All the Shady Oak Farm things that I talked about here and here!
What we’ve been up to:
Life has been BUSY! Report cards are due. We’re setting up the nursery. I have conferences at school next week. We’ve both randomly have had a lot of work commitments all at once. Baby appointments are more frequent. It has been busy and wonderful all in one and I know that a slower, season right before the baby comes, is right around the corner. So thankful.
What I’m dreading:
Having to buy more maternity clothes. Ugh.
What I’m working on:
Working on a list of freezer meals (any tips?!) and report cards. And no, they don’t go hand in hand. 😉My Game Day Chili is already on the list of freezer meals!
What I’m excited about:Eric and I have a few things planned over the next month or so. One of those things is a couples massage. Eric was really skeptical the first time we went and he ended up LOVING it. It is such a nice way to unwind. Excited is an understatement!
What I’m watching/reading:
We have really tried to take a break from watching T.V. lately. Between Hallmark Christmas movies (which I love and always have playing during that season) and just the winter blues, I feel like it has been on a lot. We have tried to be a lot more intentionally about keeping it off and honestly, it’s been so nice. We did watch the movie, Wonder the other week and loved it!
Our friends gave us the book, Baby Wise to read. They loved it and I can see why. Eric and I are both reading it. We’re only about halfway through but it has been SO insightful!
What I’m listening to:
Podcasts and Lauren Daigle Pandora. 🙂
What I’m wearing:
Majority of the time lately you can find me in sweatpants. ha! But when it randomly reached almost 80 degrees last week (PRAISE JESUS!) you better believe I grabbed this dress and wore it! I think it’s more comfortable now than ever before!
What I’m doing this weekend:
We set time aside for a lot of R & R this weekend. 🙂
What I’m looking forward to next month:
Warmer weather? Fingers crossed!
What else is new:Baby Spring is still growing and moving around like crazy! But what is new is…I’m in the third trimester already! I love her so much already. 🙂
It was SO WARM here this week! It was a breath of fresh air and made me SO ready for spring! Plus, who doesn’t love a four day week thanks to President’s Day? As always, I’m sharing some favorites from the week!
One.Remember my Healthy Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins? You should join me in making them this weekend. Your kitchen will smell amazing and they taste equally amazing! 🙂 Also, if you need some breakfast ideas you can go here.
I talked here about how much I have come to love this little shop (and still do). I purchased this tray, which now holds (most of) our fruit and veggies! I love it the look of it and the fact that it saves space on our counter!
Three.I have followed Dashing Dish for several years now. I love her heart and mission for people. I recently downloaded her devotional, “For a Healthier You,” (because pregnancy seemed like an appropriate time) and have come to love it in such different ways than I expected. It definitely makes you do some soul-searching which I appreciate. You can buy the book here and download the study, here!
Four.
I ordered this on a whim for the nursery, thinking that if we hated it we could just return it. It turned out that we LOVE it for the nursery and debated about getting one for our living room.
Five.On Wednesday I talked about some updates on the nursery (here). The fitted sheet we got is from a new spring line that launches TODAY from the Little Peaches Shop. The sheets are made from 100% Premium Cotton which has a silky feel to it. (They feel ah-mazing!) It also washes beautifully! They fit perfectly onto the mattress and have an elastic the entire way around the bottom so the fitted sheet won’t move, making it the safest for the baby.
Best of all? Elise is offering you 15% off ANY order (not just fitted sheets) when you use the code: STEPHANIESPRING.
Happy shopping friends and I hope your Friday is the best! xo
27 weeks of growing this little baby. In some ways it has moved along at the speed of a snail and in other ways, time is flying and I can’t seem to catch my breath. This past weekend we added a few more touches to the nursery (a reveal is on it’s way soon, I promise!) and purged A LOT. (How we can accumulate so many things in such a short time is beyond me?!) To make parts of the room seem more complete we filled some drawers with her itty bitty clothes and bought some more decor for the walls. It has been more fun than I even imagined to decorate this room for someone I haven’t even yet met and already love so much. The idea of becoming a family of three is becoming more real every time I pass by the nursery.
To help it all become even a little more real, we added some bedding to the crib, even though she won’t be sleeping there for a little while. I already mentioned here how much I have come to love this shop. To make me love it even more, I received a fitted sheet for the crib along with a hand written letter. I love snail mail and how genuine Elise (the owner of Little Peaches Shop) is. She also has such fun patterns and designs that go far beyond just fitted sheets.
Her new line of fabrics launches this Friday and it is adorable! Be sure to check my Friday Favorites this week for a discount code too. 😉 In the meantime, shop around here and pick out your favorites! Here’s to entering the third trimester and soaking up this feeling just a wee bit longer!
