Friday Favorites

How is it Friday already?! I’m prepping for a full weekend ahead and hope you have some fun plans too! 🙂 But let’s start off with my favorites from the week! They are short but sweet.

One.

I’ve discovered nutpods and I feel like I’m late to the party! I understand everyone’s obsession because it adds a creaminess that doesn’t taste fake and is dairy-free! I like starting most mornings off without dairy right off the bat to avoid feeling bloated. Win, win! I bought the original, here.

Keurig/My favorite coffee.

Two.I know I talked about this in my recap of July but it’s worth repeating. My best friend wrote this article and it’s a must-read for so many!

Three. My Market Tote has held anything and everything under the sun lately. I use it every. single. day.

Four.

Capri discovered Sophie The Giraffe and loves her!

Happy Friday!

July 2018

Happy almost August?! Time is flying!

What we’re eating this week:Eric and I are both doing the Whole 30 and so far, we’re in week two. My main goal is always to eat real, whole foods anyways but the Whole 30 just helps us reset our body. Plus, it makes me stop snacking or eating ice cream as much. 😉 Here are some of my favorite Whole 30 recipes:

Egg and Sausage Quiche (Minus the milk)

Pepper and Kale Quiche. (Minus the milk)

Coconut Cashew Crumble

Homemade Lemon Larabars

Taco Salad

Tomato Basil Meatloaf (I use ground beef instead of turkey)

What I’m reminiscing about:Gosh, babies change so much and so quickly. I’m already at the point where I look back at pictures of this little babe and can’t believe how little she was.

What I’m loving lately:I’ve been so into trying out random coffee shops in the area. Maybe because it’s a  fun, inexpensive date-ish or a fun place to meet friends. Either way, when there’s an iced matcha on the menu, I’m in heaven.

What we’ve been up to:

We celebrated our anniversary. We’re soaking up baby snuggles. We’re enjoying the weather. We’re spending time with family and friends. We’ve been up to a lot in the best way.

What I’m dreading:

Summer ending. I hate it every year and cling onto it way too hard. At least I’m aware of it?

What I’m working on:

Creating some more recipes for you! A lot of people messaged me on Instagram with some recipes you want to see. I’m compiling a list and if I haven’t posted something similar to what you mentioned, I haven’t forgotten. 🙂 Leave a comment here, fill out the survey below, or e-mail me with some recipes you would love to see. (Or any post really!)

What I’m excited about:

I’m starting and hopefully finishing Christmas shopping soon. It seems only fitting since Christmas in July is everywhere. 😉

What I’m watching/reading:Parenthood. Are you surprised? I’m addicted and talk about the characters as if they are my friends. Ha!

Seamless Bible Study

What I’m listening to:

Okay at first I didn’t like this song at all and now I like it. It’s so catchy and his voice is so interesting. haha I’m all over the place when it comes to music.

What I’m wearing:I know I already posted about these jeans and I probably will again because they are amazing. They are stretchy but fitted and I love them. 🙂 End of of story.

What I’m doing this weekend:

I think Eric and I have had more date nights scheduled since Capri has been born then when I was pregnant! Ha! Either way, I’ll take it! 🙂

What I’m looking forward to next month:

Soaking up everything summer.

What else is new:My best friend has an article published in Relevant Magazine. I’m so proud of her. 🙂 You can read it, here!

Friday Favorites

Today is such a random assortment of things that I’m loving lately so bear with me. 😉

One.Capri is getting more alert by the day! We recently bought this play gym and she absolutely loves it! Plus it keeps her busy while I make dinner. 😉

Two.This week Eric and I celebrated our anniversary. I love him so much. You can read more about us (here, here, and here!)

Three. My favorite candle company came out with this candle that encompasses so many smells of summer. 🙂 (..and it’s on sale right now!)

Four.

This bathing suit is so comfortable, inexpensive, and great post-baby. Ha!

Five.

I used to have extremely sensitive skin when I was younger. It was so bad. I was worried that Capri might have something similar to we ordered wipes (WaterWipes) and diapers (Naty Diapers) with the least amount of ingredients possible. So far, so good! 🙂

Six.

Peach season is here and this (Peaches and Cream Ginger Smoothie) is one of my very favorite recipes on my blog. Yes. You read that right! Go make it for yourself and have the best Friday! 😉

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday everyone! Five random favorites for you today and hoping you have the best Friday and weekend ahead. 🙂 We’ll be with friends, family, and soaking in our 7 week old! HOW?!

One.

Oh my word, these jeans are heavenly. Favorite X10!

Two.

I shared this quote on here in a story and also with several friends and family because it was just too good not to share.

“If your heart and your mind are aligned in the direction of God, you don’t have to agonize to the point of paralysis over decisions before you. We will steer where we stare. So stare mightily at God and His word in your life, and His plan will unfold day by day. Decision by decision.”

It is from the amazing devotional that you can buy here. 🙂 Seriously, just get it and start your day off right.

Three.

Have you heard of the Soundfreaq? We actually got this as a wedding present and I somehow never talked about it on here. It connects to my phone and is perfect to play music throughout the day. Easy.

Four.Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip BitesHoly moly these are so good.

Five.

Last week I bought a few tank tops from Old Navy that I loooove. BUT they are sold out. 🙁 I found a similar style and material here though! I have worn these with jeans, shorts, etc. Dresses up or down, they are classic and can be mixed and matched with a ton of different jewelry. 🙂 I also LOVE them paired with these pants.

Seven Days

How was she only seven days old here?!  It already feels like forever ago that she was this tiny. I also completely understand every cliche about time flying with a newborn because it’s so true. I’m so thankful we were able to capture her long fingers, her itty bitty toes, and her personality as it was at seven days old. We love her to pieces and will never forget what this stage of life has brought us.
