Asparagus is one of my favorite veggies and wrapping it in bacon is just heavenly. 🙂 Here’s a quick side for your Tuesday night thanks to Annie at Home of Malones. My mouth is already watering thinking about this recipe! You can find the original recipe here! Happy Tuesday!
I have been on a serious smoothie bowl kick lately. My body has been craving clean foods but I also don’t want to walk away from the table feeling hungry. You know I’m a big fan of smoothies but I wanted a little extra somethin’ somethin’ to help energize me for the day. A smoothie bowl is the faultless balance between light and filling. Here’s a little tip: Don’t skimp on the Homemade Granola! In all honesty, it completes the smoothie bowl, providing a crunchy topping and makes it all it’s cracked up to be!
How is next week already February?! Time is flying and I’m trying to be as intentional I can about the time that’s passing! Here’s to some favorites this Friday and wishing you the best weekend! xo
 One.
How cute is this book? I picked it up the other day. It is so fun to flip through and a perfect coffee table book to peruse occasionally. 🙂
Two.
I love, love, love linen towels in the kitchen. I was mentioning to my best friend how I was on the search for one and could’t find one I liked. She opened a drawer and handed me one that is similar to both of these. 🙂
Three.
Your Italy advice last Friday was SO appreciated! I have been writing each and every suggestion down. Keep it coming! 🙂
Four. You need to try my Game Day Fries and Sauce here!
Five.
I’ve had a thing for white pitchers lately. I only have one right now I may order another in the near future. I love putting flowers in them and want to use one for some yummy drink creations. Which is your favorite?
So the last few weeks, Eric and I have spent one night a week at Barnes and Noble. Hot date, right? 😉 I honestly have looked forward to it each week. It’s such a nice time to unwind, browse, and just relax. These are some of the books I flipped through.Â
What we’ve been up to:Booking and planning trips! In the last two weeks we have planned three getaways and I can’t wait!Â
What I’m dreading:
Nothing. 🙂
What I’m working on:
This kind of goes hand in hand with what we’ve been up to! I’ve also been doing some fun projects on the side that I can’t wait to share with you!
What I’m excited about:We went to see the movie Passengers on Saturday and although JLaw isn’t my favorite actress, she completely inspired me to cut my hair. I text me hair dresser and it’s happening on Saturday! Eeeek!
What I’m watching/reading:My Mom has never seen this movie so I willingly volunteered to watch it again! 😉 I love this movie! I feel like the world’s slowest reader when I do these posts because I realize much I’ve been lacking in the reading department. If you read this post though, you know it’s a part of some of my “me time”, which will be happening more often. 🙂
A birthday party, and spending some time with family. 🙂
What I’m looking forward to next month:
Valentines?! It’s always a fun excuse to get dressed up and go out to dinner!
What else is new:
My shop page is new. 🙂 Along with a few other fun additions that you can read more about here!
Bonus Question: Who is your favorite Bachelor?
I honestly don’t have a favorite. (Or maybe it’s a tie…or maybe I’m just bad at making decisions about things like this). Any excuse to set work aside for a little bit, sip some wine, and hang out with friends is a win. So I guess, Ben and Sean tie then. 😉
As I was thinking about what Eric and I save on and what we splurge on, a lot of things ended up being in the same category. Here’s what I mean…Â One. We don’t buy our coffee. We always make our coffee at home and take it to-go. We save a lot of money that way! But, then again…
When we go out for coffee, we spend $15 on one cup because coffee is worth the splurge.
Two. We cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner at home almost every single day for a few reasons. We both really, really enjoy cooking. It lets us know what is going into our food. We can prepare it exactly the way we like it. It saves us a TON of money, It’s a win all around. But then again…
When we go out to dinner, we go all out with every single course and don’t feel the least bit bad about it!
Like this meal… 🙂
Three. Investing in traveling is without a doubt an amazing experience. We don’t do it a ton but we are extremely blessed to have already traveled the places we have and go big on them when we do. Splurge on this one, ladies!
Santorini, Greece
Florence, ItalyMaroon Bells, ColoradoPunta Cana, Dominican Republic.
To some these may not be steals or splurges, but it works for us and we love it. 🙂 What’s on your list?
