Apple Dumpling Croissants

Apple-Dumpling Croissants Recipe at: stephanie-spring.com

Okay, friends. Bare with me. I know this doesn’t exactly count as a “healthy” snack. However, I think these might be a little slice of heaven that you should try! It’s perfect for any time of year and so delicious!

Ingredients:
  • 2 large Granny Smith apples, peeled and cored
  • 2 (12 ounce) cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) can of Mountain Dew

What to do:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Cut each apple into 8 slices and set aside. Unroll the crescent rolls. Place an apple slice in each crescent roll and roll as if you would for a croissant. Place the apple filled crescent rolls in the baking dish. In a separate saucepan, melt the butter, sugar, and cinnamon on medium heat. Stir as it is melting together. Pour the sauce over the crescent rolls followed by the mountain dew. Place in the oven and bake 35 to 45 minutes, or until they are golden brown. Simple as that! Heaven, right?

Fall Favorites

We are officially four days into fall! I’m trying to soak up as much time outside as possible before we are cooped up for the winter. I love fall but let’s be honest, in Pennsylvania, some days are really cold and other’s are pretty warm. These favorites can be mixed and matched with other layers for warm afternoons and cool evenings.

This material is warm, soft, and perfect for layering! There are so many versions of “flannel” out there but this one hits the nail on the head. I love it.

Liv Pope anyone? I am secretly (and now not so secretly) obsessed with Scandal.

I am always commenting about Liv’s outfits and how much I love them.

THIS COLOR! It is amazing! It always helps to add a splash of color knowing that I’m going to be wearing this coat almost every day during the cold months.

Favorite handbag

Last year, I got a handbag similar to this one. I saw this last night in the store and decided it is definitely a fall favorite! I love the size, shape, and durability of it. It’s simple and fashionable. Aldo never disappoints with handbags.

And… This.

Multiple people asked me if this was the same bag I bought last year. Yes. Taylor Swift and I like the same bags. I’m not exactly sure how I feel about that but I like the bag. So it’s a win for me!

 Happy Saturday everyone!

Happy two months!

Wedding picture

Happy two months to this amazing man.

I know two months is basically no time at all to the average person… and I agree. But if I count the amount of things I’ve learned in the past two months of marriage… that is without a doubt, worth something.

Choose the person who makes you a better person, always points you to the things that really matter, and you enjoy spending time with. Choose the person you respect, you can have fun with, and you aren’t scared to have those deep conversations with.

I am endlessly grateful for being the one Eric chose to marry.

Here’s to many more months of learning, growing, and doing life together.

I love you.

Almond Bark with Sea Salt

Almond Bark with Sea Salt Recipe at: stephanie-spring.com

It’s back to school time and I’m still clinging on to those last tastes, smells, and memories of the summer. Did I mention how unbelievably easy it is to make? So easy and a quick snack for back to school. I love all things almond, dark chocolate, and sea salt. 🙂

Ingredients:

  • 4 Ghirardelli 60% cacao bittersweet chocolate baking bars
  • 9.5 oz. unsalted whole almonds
  • 3 tbsp sea salt

What to do:

Break chocolate bars into small pieces and melt for one minute in a microwavable bowl.
Stir with a spatula until all chocolate is melted together. In a medium sized mixing bowl, pour chocolate, almonds and 2 tbsp sea salt. Mix. Line a baking sheet with wax paper. Pour mixture into wax paper. Sprinkle 1 tbsp of sea salt on top of mixture. Place in freezer for 1 hour. Remove from freezer and break into smaller pieces as desired.
