Show and Tell: Advice

Show and Tell - IG GraphicI’m linking up with Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesday: Advice edition! What advice would I give my high school self? Here you have it! 🙂
Let me start off by saying I loved high school. I really did. I had a loyal group of friends, great teachers, loved the activities I was involved in, and felt so lucky to have the experience I did. BUT…looking back, there is definitely advice I wish I could have given myself, even though I probably wouldn’t have listened 😉 But it would be worth a try and they are some things I feel so deeply about and I wish I would have known.I would tell myself to read more of my Bible, travel, stop using tanning beds, eat real food, exercise for health purposes and not just to be skinny, read more, and keep those standards high. We are always able to choose our choices but we don’t get to choose our consequences.

There you have it! 🙂 On a completely different note, did you see my Fish Taco recipe yesterday? You can read all about them and the ah-mazing sauce, here! Happy Tuesday!

Friday Favorites

You’ll find me here every Friday with Erika, Narci, and Andrea for our favorites. Here we go! 🙂

One.

The other day, a friend and I were talking about school lunches. Since I’m a teacher and always pack my lunch, she was wondering what I normally take since her oldest is going into first grade. She mentioned that she bought a yumbox for both her girls and now I kind of want to get one for myself! How neat are they?! They have cut out’s for each portion of food and they come in all different colors! 🙂

Two.I thought this was coming out in November until a friend text me a told me otherwise! Naturally I ordered it and spent yesterday with it in my hand. 🙂

Three.IMG_6665Over the last several years this has become one of my favorite verses. I was reminded of it this week and thought I’d share. 🙂

Four.IMG_6666I can’t wait for these to arrive on my doorstep! 😉 Perfect timing for back to school!

Deserted Island + Footwear

Stranded With2016-08-08_0002I’m just going to preface this post saying that I stuck to completely functional footwear that I would actually wear on an island. Don’t be fooled though, I am still a fan of a good pair of heels or wedges from time to time! 😉 I listed some different styles of the footwear I chose! Click around and tell me which ones are your favorite!

Rainbow Flip Flops: Basically the most comfortable flip flop known to man kind! 😉

Nike Flex Sneakers: My go-to sneakers that I buy year after year and never seem to get sick of! I love these!

SandalsA good pair of sandals that can be mixed with an array of colors and outfits is always a solid choice!

Since we’re talking about shoes, why not shop for some jewelry too since Kendra Scott just released her Fall 2016 Collection?! 😉 You can use the code: SHOPSTYLE to take $40 off $200 until August 13th!

Here are some of the pieces from her! These would be perfect for Christmas, birthdays, etc. Which one do you love the most?!If you missed any of my previous Island posts, check them out below!

Friday Favorites

It’s Friday and I have some favorites to share along with Erika, Narci, and Andrea!

One.

Ultra Repair Cream/ Clarisonic Mia 2/ Hand Towel/ Face Cleanser/ Clarisonic Delicate Brush Head Replacement/ Face Moisturizer

I know I’ve talked about First Aid Beauty time and time again. If you’re new around here, a few months ago I switched my skin care routine. I was hesitant to chage because of how sensitive my skin is but I really wanted to use products with less chemicals. I was blown away with how soft my skin was after using F.A.B and haven’t looked back! 🙂

Ultra Repair CreamI use this on my hands/arms in the morning and before bed. It goes on really thick, sinks in, and isn’t greasy afterwards! It keeps your skin so soft and can be used on any dry spot.

Clarisonic Mia 2 This beauty deep cleans my face and leaves it feeling silky smooth.

Hand Towel– After cleaning my face at the end of the day, I like to use a dark colored hand towel in case there is still any make-up remaining. Nothing makes me more sad than getting mascara on a white towel. 🙁

Face CleanserThis takes away all the grime!

Clarisonic Delicate Brush Head ReplacementSince I’ve had the Mia, I’ve used this replacement brush and liked it. I went to Sephora the other day and decided to try the delicate brush head replacement and LOVE it! It’s gentle on my skin and I don’t plan on going back anytime soon!

Face MoisturizerI put this on my face right after I get out of the shower and before bed after washing it. A little goes a long way!

Two.Easy Guacamole--Recipe at: stephanie-spring.comThis easy guacamole is without a doubt, a favorite. You can find the recipe, here!

Three.

On Tuesday, my sister and I took a trip to Hersheypark for the day! Because, why not?!

Four.I’m just saying…I wasn’t a fan, and then all of the sudden, I love them! So cute.

Five.We got the this mortar and pestle from Williams-Sonoma as a wedding gift last year. We use it to make guacamole for the two of us or any party. I love the look of it and how sturdy it is!

Here are some other ones I found that I absolutely love! Click the arrow to see more! 🙂

We have a super busy weekend ahead of us. Here goes nothing! 😉 Happy Friday!
