Sapling Child

While searching for some baby clothes, I was definitely drawn to a few companies, Sapling Child being one of them for so many reasons. They have such simple, yet fun designs. They are ethically made of organic cotton and care about every little detail. (Which obviously you can tell when you buy their clothing). With our little babe on the way, I couldn’t pass up snatching some of these cute pieces before she even gets here. 🙂 You may have seen that I mentioned them in my 100 Favorite Things last week. (Lovebug/Sleeper/ Sleeper/Floral Romper/ Peach Pants/Zippered Pink). I also love how generous they are because they are offering one winner any product of their choice. Yes, any product! The giveaway will run one week and I will announce the winner next Friday, April 6th! Shop around and check out all their products but also don’t forget to enter the Rafflecopter at the end of the post! Happy, happy Thursday! a Rafflecopter giveaway

It is the end of March and time just keeps flying by month after month. In some ways I love it and in other ways, I just want to hit the pause button.

Friday Favorites

One. World Water Day is Thursday, March 22nd. You didnt’t know that? 😉 Although I didn’t know it had a day set aside, it is something I am passionate about. Humankind water came to our church a year or so ago. They educated the congregation on how important clean water is and the statistics really stuck with me. Nearly one billion people on our planet lack clean drinking water. Crazy!

I also found out all this information around the time Eric and I were both doing our own research on clean water. We ended up buying a RO Water Filter System for our sink and love it! Our water tastes so much and it makes me a lot more confident when I cook. Now if only we could give them to everyone. 🙂
100% of Humankind water‘s proceeds go straight to getting people clean drinking water. Plus, one bottle of water= clean water for one person for 100 days!

Two.Fresh flowers. 🙂

Three. This is amazing. End of story. 🙂 Check it out, here!

Four. Easter is so soon! Whether you need a dessert to take to a family get-together or just want to have fun making something with your lovies at home, I have two recipes for you!

If your vice is lemon, try this: My Fluffy Lemon Cheesecake

Carrot Cake all the way? Carrot Cake Muffins are all yours!

Five.

If neither appeal to you, you can check back next week when I share my Homemade Peanut Butter Fudge recipe that’s SO easy and delicious!

Happy Friday, friends! xo

Weekly Meal Planning

Every Saturday (or so), I make a meal plan. I go grocery shopping Mondays after work and get everything I need for the entire week. I despise having to make extra trips to the store. So I can avoid making more than one trip a week, I try to be as thorough as I can in my list beforehand.

I love using post-its and notepads to keep a running to-do list, but using Wunderlist for my groceries has been a game changer. Seriously. Instead of worrying if I have the list with me when I go shopping, I know I’ll always have my phone which has the Wunderlist app right there. Also, Eric and I share the list which is so helpful if there is anything he wants to add at the last minute. I do write the overall meal for each night on a post-it note but then add the ingredients to Wunderlist. I have three basic categories when I am writing my list: Breakfast, dinner, and snacks. Most of the time, our lunches consist of what we ate the night before. It saves time, money, and clean up.

Since I have gotten into this routine, it has become easier each week. Whenever I’m at a loss, I look up recipes on my blog that I may have forgotten about, flip through some of my favorite cookbooks, or scroll through Pinterest. I listed some of my go-to’s below for each category. You can also shop my pantry to have a lot of the ingredients I use often on hand!

My go-to breakfasts:

Toast: 3 Ways

Crustless Quiche

Smoothie

My go-to dinners:

Lemon Butter Salmon

Veggie Detox Bowl

My go-to snacks:

Homemade Lemon Larabars

Key Lime Pie Bars

My go-to cookbooks:

You can access all of my food categories under my, “food” tab at the top of my page for more ideas! What are some of your go-to’s for breakfast, dinners, or snacks?! Happy Monday! 🙂
