Friday Favorites
You’ll find me here every Friday with Erika, Narci, and Andrea for our favorites. Here we go! 🙂
The other day, a friend and I were talking about school lunches. Since I’m a teacher and always pack my lunch, she was wondering what I normally take since her oldest is going into first grade. She mentioned that she bought a yumbox for both her girls and now I kind of want to get one for myself! How neat are they?! They have cut out’s for each portion of food and they come in all different colors! 🙂
Two.
I thought this was coming out in November until a friend text me a told me otherwise! Naturally I ordered it and spent yesterday with it in my hand. 🙂
Three.
Over the last several years this has become one of my favorite verses. I was reminded of it this week and thought I’d share. 🙂
Four.
I can’t wait for these to arrive on my doorstep! 😉 Perfect timing for back to school!
It was so fun getting a package from Bob’s Red Mill this week! I love cooking and baking with their products and I was so excited to try this!

You can always follow me here, here, and here! Happy Friday! xoxo

I’m just going to preface this post saying that I stuck to completely functional footwear that I would actually wear on an island. Don’t be fooled though, I am still a fan of a good pair of heels or wedges from time to time! 😉 I listed some different styles of the footwear I chose! Click around and tell me which ones are your favorite!

Over the years, I’ve come to enjoy the overall experience of food, just as much as the dish itself. The presentation, atmosphere and quality of food play a significant role from the first bite to the last. However, you don’t need to be at a fancy restaurant with a master chef to set the stage for precious memories to be made. Your kitchen is the perfect backdrop, and your family is the best crew to help! Also, never underestimate the power of simple ingredients! As far as I’m concerned, creativity always gets bonus points in my book!

This easy guacamole is without a doubt, a favorite. You can find the recipe,
I’m just saying…I wasn’t a fan, and then all of the sudden, I love them! So cute.

Avocados should possibly become their own food group in our household for how often we buy them. We don’t just frequently buy them, we buy them in bulk to always have them on hand. I’ll thank Costco for that brilliant idea of bulked food items. Please and thank you, even for a family of two. 🙂 When you have four ripe avocados, what’s a girl to do other than make guacamole, that Eric so sweetly pointed out, is my own take on guacamole for how simple it is compared to a “standard” recipe. I grinned because that’s exactly what I love about it. The simplicity.
