What’s Up Wednesday: December
It is the LAST What’s Up Wednesday of 2016! Crazy! Here we go! 🙂
What we’re eating this week:The other night I needed some baking therapy and found myself making my Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins. I haven’t made them in awhile and forgot how delicious they are! I also took some in for my friends at school. 🙂
What I’m reminiscing about:
Four years ago I just finished student teaching, graduated college, and signed a lease to move in with my best friend. That was all within two days of each other. A lot has changed in four years and yet so much is still the same. 🙂 And five years ago I was getting ready for my semester to Greece. I am always reminiscing about this place. What I would give to go back…
What I’m loving:
Our home. It has been so cozy with the soft lights, warm blankets, and Hallmark movies playing. 🙂
What we’ve been up to:
We have been busy bee’s lately between work and holiday festivities!
What I’m dreading:
I get SO sad when we have to take our tree down each year. I may keep it up a little longer this year.
What I’m working on:
Making it to Christmas break. 😉
What I’m excited about:Christmas break!
What I’m watching/reading:
My favorite Christmas movies have been playing non-stop. Also, Monday night we watched the Santa Clause and forgot how funny it was! I loved this movie as a kid!I also started re-reading this book in hopes of being more focused than frazzled during this holiday season.
What I’m listening to:
Still this station…all day long. 🙂
What I’m wearing:My Mrs. Claus Tunic.
Nail polish (Pat On The Black and Big Apple Red) since I have stopped biting my nails. I sound like an 8 year old little girl. ha! it’s the little things in life. 🙂
What I’m doing this weekend:
We have dinner plans Friday night and then our annual Ugly Sweater party! Friends are coming over Christmas Eve morning. Then, we have our churches Christmas Eve service, and my parents are coming over afterwards. Christmas morning, we’ll go to my parents for brunch and then to Eric’s parents for the rest of the day. This may take the cake for the busiest weekend of 2016. 😉
What I’m looking forward to next month:Snow days anyone?!
What else is new:
Our church has talked a lot about peace this month and what that really entails. It has involved a lot of soul-searching in the midst of a lot of challenges lately.
Philippians 4: 6-7. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Bonus Question: What is your favorite memory from 2016?
My favorite memory would have to be all the trips Eric and I took together. I love traveling with him. 🙂

Phillipians 4:6-7 is my favorite verse and has gotten me through a lot. I am such a worrier and this verse always puts me at ease. I am also waiting for Christmas Break. It has been hard keeping the students engaged this week 🙂 Have a great weekend!

I haven’t watched the whole The Santa Clause movie in forever. I really need to get on some of my favorite Christmas films. I’ve watched a lot of Hallmark ones though! haha My whole family tends to love those- at least around the holidays, when corny works. 🙂
I’ve been doing a lot of holiday themed things lately too, like doing crafts at various libraries near me. It’s been a lot of fun and I go to most of them with my mom, which is great!
