Friday Favorites

This week was BUSY! Busy, busy, busy! Between errands, school prep, and trying to set my alarm much earlier…I cannot believe it is the last full week of summer!

BUT, it’s Friday and we have a date night planned and a fun weekend ahead! All is well in life. πŸ™‚

One.

On Tuesday we had family friends over who we don’t see the often. We caught up, ate pizza, and played some games. Who remembers the game Taboo?! I have not played it in FOREVER and we all were dying laughing! So much fun! πŸ™‚

Two.

Eric is on our church softball team (which I think I mentioned before?!) and they have made it to the championship this year! It is such a fun group of people and I loved watching their final games this week! πŸ™‚

Three.

I debated about mentioning this but I couldn’t help it. A few months ago I bought this USB diffuser to use in the car, since I have a long commute during the school year. In my mind, I mainly thought that is where I would use it. Until..I brought it to school with me this week. I put it in my computer as I was doing work and loved the scent. πŸ™‚ I plugged away on my laptop as it diffused right there and I was in love! Also, aren’t the colors so cute? πŸ˜‰

Four.We added one of my favorite salsas on some tacos this week! Yum!

Five.I think we have watched one, if not two, episodes every night this week! Such a fun show! The accents get me every time!

Happy Friday! xoxo

Back-to-School

Back-to-school this year feels much different than previous ones. This is the first summer I have not worked in over 10 years. WHAAAAT?! I know. Crazy. I was able to check a lot of things off our to-do list and feel truly relaxed and energized. Of course gearing for back-to-school is never an easy task though from a teacher’s perspective in the Spring household. It takes adjusting, early bedtimes, and A LOT of prep in all areas of life each and every start to the school year.I do love the start of a new school year though where everything is nice and tidy and new beginnings are able to bloom. To get me started on the right foot, I’ve listed some of my favorite things that help me get back in the mood for school from the classroom, to meal planning, and some fashion thrown in there! You can click on the pictures and it will take you right to the link. πŸ™‚

I’m really trying to savor this phase of life since I know teaching is only for a season. So here we go…

IN THE CLASSROOM:Β

I went with a popcorn theme in my classroom. I did something somewhat similar my first year of teaching but embraced it a little more this year. These are some fun things I added! Also, who doesn’t love these?! I think I’ve used them most of the summer also! πŸ˜‰ And to all the teacher friends out there: Has anyone done (or are doing) the hybrid method at your school?! I’m piloting it for the first time this year and could use any and all tips!

Also, I’m old school in the sense that apples always remind me of teachers. That being said, I have this on my door when you enter my classroom. πŸ™‚ You can click on the picture. How cute?!

AT HOME:

Β Β

I try to stick to a few crockpot meals a week as I’m getting back into the swing of a different schedule. That’s a must. πŸ™‚ (So is coffee!) I love to have all these products on hand in my pantry for quick smoothies in the morning. Maca powder helps provides hormone balance, boosts the immune system, and increases energy. It was helpful over the summer but will be completely necessary once school starts back up! You can also check out some of my other fun breakfast ideas, here! I also have a lot of my smoothies in my drinks section, here!

BACK-TO-SCHOOL SHOPPING:

Last but not least, some teaching outfits that I seem to gravitate towards. πŸ™‚ Our dress code is pretty casual but it’s always fun to update my wardrobe this time of year!

Happy Wednesday friends!

Words To Live By

Without turning into a puddle of emotions over here, I’ll keep it short and sweet. When Eric and I were engaged we talked about a mission for the two of us and someday our (hopefully) growing family. We wrote down a combination of phrases from our vows, to our hearts, and everywhere in between. House of Belonging so graciously gifted us this beautiful sign and we are both over the moon about it. It is the first thing you see when you walk into our home, which is exactly the statement we were trying to make. It’s so personal and yet something we want to be shared, creating inspiration and setting the tone for our space. Gosh I love life with him and I’m so thankful for House of Belonging and how beautifully they make these words come to life.

Friday Favorites

This week was a whirlwind!

I did find sometime though to update my shop page and it lists a TON of my favorite things!

Throughout my blog I scattered some of my very favorite products. However, I thought it would be fun to compile them all together in one place for everyone to access to them. If you simply click on the picture, it will take you directly to the product. Almost all the links (if not all?!) are via Amazon. Eric and I looooove Amazon Prime and if you don’t have it, you should definitely consider getting it! I will occasionally update it with new things but I included an array of products that I have on hand. One of my favorite things that I added was what’s in our pantry. I love seeing ingredients people use regularly. πŸ™‚

PANTRY

Β

Of course if you have any questions, send me an e-mail or leave a comment on here! You can check out the shop page HERE and it will always be available on my home page…

Happy Friday everyone! In case you didn’t have breakfast yet and need an idea…here you go!

And for all the teachers out there, I hope you are soaking in every last minute of free time! πŸ™‚

Peaches and Cream Ginger Smoothie

Peaches and Cream Ginger Smoothie--Recipe: stephanie-spring.comPeaches and Cream Ginger Smoothie--Recipe: stephanie-spring.com Peaches and Cream Ginger Smoothie--Recipe: stephanie-spring.comPeaches and Cream Ginger Smoothie--Recipe: stephanie-spring.comYou know how peanut butter and jelly go perfectly together? Eggs and bacon? Salt and pepper? Chip and Dale? Barbie and Ken? Bride and groom? I’d like to throw ginger and peaches in the mix because it’s as if they should have never been apart. Peach season is one of the best seasons, in my opinion. Whether you agree or not, the creaminess will convince you that this smoothie is a must. The light fluffiness of the coconut milk and yogurt, balanced with the sweetness of a few peaches, and then a taste of ginger for a zing make it the perfect summer treat. If anyone wants to make summer last longer, it’s me. That being said, this drink puts me in my happy place which includes summer all the time!Β Peaches and Cream Ginger Smoothie--Recipe: stephanie-spring.com Peaches and Cream Ginger Smoothie--Recipe: stephanie-spring.comPeaches and Cream Ginger Smoothie--Recipe: stephanie-spring.com Peaches and Cream Ginger Smoothie--Recipe: stephanie-spring.com
