Five.Did you see I added a fun feature to my newest recipe? You can now print the recipes directly from my site. Also if you Pin it, it will break down the ingredients you need by category.
I also cannot stop snacking on this kind of granola! I’m obsessed.
Follow me on Pinterest to grab some recipes that I’ve been pinning and have the best Friday! 🙂 Also, who thinks Baby Spring is going to arrive this weekend?
Every spring when the temperature rises above 70 degrees, I get so excited to wear my spring/summer dresses, only to have the next day temps drop to 50 degrees and become chilly all over again. Ha! It only took me 20-something years to figure this out but layers have become my best friend. I always try to have a sweater or light jacket around in case I get cold throughout the day. At school, the temperature in my classroom fluctuates multiple times a day, and if I take the students out for an extra recess from time to time I have to take that into consideration. One thing I always get excited about (other than pulling out all my archived dresses) are breaking out sandals. I put together some pieces that are functional and fun for those days where it’s chilly in the morning, hot in the afternoon and everything in between. Spring in PA is always a little unpredictable, so preparation is key. 🙂
This week was a rollercoaster of emotions. It started off dreary and cold and ended up beautiful, sunny, and warm! I went from feeling great, to contractions and no sleep, to feeling great again. But hey, everyone is healthy and I’m thankful for that!
One.
I updated my shop page with some really random things that you have made an appearance on here before but have become staples in my life lately. I’ll be adding some more summer things over the next few weeks too! 🙂 Be sure to keep checking back!

I ordered this shampoo and conditioner because of their amazingly clean ingredients and cannot wait to try it! Has anyone tried this brand before?!
Three.
I’ve mentioned several times that I have really bad allergies. The combo of these three oils really has helped with this time of year where everything is in full bloom and allergies are wanting to go crazy!
Four.
I don’t think I’ve ever talked about these sheets before?! I just ordered another set because I love them so much. They are comfortable, great quality, and an even better price! (Even for our set of California King sheets since my husband is a giant). 🙂
Five.
Whenever I’m having a salad or something that requires dressing, I make it from scratch. It’s really easy and I know all the ingredients that go into it. Sometimes though, I just need a dressing made for me and different than I normally make. Primal Kitchen has really clean ingredients and is SO good! So when I found this at our local grocery store the other day, I was so excited! 🙂
I’m hoping your Friday (and weekend!) is sunny wherever you are! xo
Baby Spring could be here any day, so I’m trying to savor the last few moments with my students. One of my very favorite projects each year is a Tangram Project we do. We read Grandfather Tang’s Story, talk all about the history of tangrams, and then they recreate the tangram figures throughout the story. It’s great geometry lesson and for spatial reasoning skills.

The sun was shining this week. THAT is a favorite! 🙂
When the baby comes I’m going to take a few weeks off from blogging. It may be more, it may be less, just depending how everything goes. But in the meantime, I have some guest posts that I am super excited for you to read as I soak in baby snuggles.
Five.
At our Baby Shower, they had thee cutest little setting at every single seat! Unfortunately I didn’t get a picture of it but they had advice cards, baby predictions, and cake pops shaped into rattles. It was the cutest! Eric and I both loved going through all the advice and predictions. If you are a hosting a baby shower, these are a must-have! I linked a bunch for different types of showers! 🙂
In some ways this post is a little surreal. I realized that for the past 26 months I have been recapping our months in this little space and next month at this time, I will most likely be soaking in snuggles with our newborn baby! But here’s the recap of this month… 🙂
What we’re eating this week:My Summer Quinoa Salad, Blueberry Ginger Smoothie and Honey Lime & Garlic Salmon. What I’m reminiscing about: The other night Eric and I were talking about what we were doing last year at this time. Our main focus was planning for Italy and everything that came along with that. It is crazy how each day can seem so mundane but looking back, so much has changed in a year.
What I’m loving lately:
The babies room. 🙂 It has become one of my favorite rooms in our home. I love everything about it! Pictures are coming soon but in the meantime, here are a few items to give you a sneak peak. 🙂
What we’ve been up to:
Being intentional. Last week, I took the week off from social media, blogging, etc. because sometimes, you just need to.
What I’m dreading:
To be honest, I am dreading getting less sleep. I love routine and I know that will be changing very soon. It will all be so worth it though. 🙂
What I’m working on:This past weekend we made so many freezer meals and we kept saying we aren’t sure why we haven’t done this before?! I’ll be recapping the recipes we made/froze soon but in the meantime, you can make these to freeze!
What I’m excited about:
MEETING OUR BABY!
What I’m watching/reading:
We have had the TV off A LOT lately…and it’s been the best! We’ve been trying to do away with technology as much as we can other than work. We did watch the movie,Home Again the other week and here’s my dilemma. I love Reese Witherspoon. She’s my favorite actress but I didn’t like the movie. 🙁 You win some, you lose some.
I told you last month how I started reading Grace, Not Perfection. Then I posted about it in my Friday Favorites because it was just SO GOOD. She truly has a gift and such a great message to share that was inspiring and uplifting.
What I’m listening to:I could use all the info and encouragement at this stage of the game. 😉
