Chocolate Banana Mocha Smoothie
I’m always up for a smoothie year-round. In the heat of the summer, a smoothie is so refreshing. A smoothie during the winter? I’ll take it! (Especially when it’s perfectly packed with so many nutrients that I need). I love how much you can mix and match your ingredients as you create a completely new tasty concoction.
Smoothies are my go-to for breakfast or a snack, especially since pregnancy has given me the craving for everything iced and frozen. I haven’t really had any food aversions throughout pregnancy so far (thank goodness), except one thing….
I can’t sip on my morning cup of joe anymore. Hot coffee that is. I still love the flavor of it but can’t seem to down a hot cup for the life of me. To still get the flavor and little caffeine I need from time to time, I’ve been making iced or frozen coffee drinks to satisfy the craving. I found this recipe from Lakita which combines coffee in a smoothie. It is SO delicious and exactly what I need these days. Thank you Lakita for such a yummy recipe!
In case you need a dinner idea, see the recipe Lakita and I swapped last year, here and be sure to check her blog out for a TON of other mouth-watering recipes!

Also, how cute is that tea towel? Unfortunately it’s sold out but I linked some other’s below
Ingredients:
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup strong brewed coffee (I used this
kind).
- 1 large frozne banana
- You can find the rest of the ingredient list here!
Several of you asked for more chili recipes and I hear you because our household wants it too! The snow keeps coming in random spurts and when our TV is on, 50% of the time it is turned to football. (I’m guessing we aren’t the only ones?!) With that combo, the need for chili is high. 😉 This recipe is ideal for a few people or can be doubled for a crowd.

For about two weeks straight I craved (and made) a, “Trail Mix” smoothie fromÂ

It’s been so unbelievably cold here. It’s crazy! Since it’s still dark when I leave for work and it slowly fades to a dark sky shortly after I get home, a warm and hearty crockpot meal is right up my alley!

This dip and bread have been a staple at every single Christmas since I could get my hands in the kitchen. It’s mouth watering, addicting, my go-to appetizer and a HUGE hit! It is extremely easy and you’ll look like you slaved all day. 😉 It is the perfect appetizer for the holiday season!
