Friday Favorites

Friday Favorites 01

It’s Friday which means I’m linking up with these lovely ladies, Erika, Narci, and Andrea for our Friday Favorites!

One.I love the Today Show. As in, I’m kind of obsessed with it. We didn’t have school on Monday for President’s Day, had a delay on Tuesday, and I had a math conference that was close by our house on Thursday. That being said…I got to watch the Today Show three times this week! That my friends, is a favorite of the week!

On Wednesday, I came home to find this note at the top of the steps and bottle of wine after an already extremely busy week. I love him.

Our sweet friends had a baby a few weeks ago. Yesterday, I got to see baby Micah and his amazing parents for the first time! BUT as I was oohing and ahhing over how precious he was, I forgot to take a picture! Trust me, he is adorable and it was one of my favorite parts to this week! 🙂

Five.stephanie-spring.comOne of my favorite snacks is energy bites. I came up with my own recipe months ago and they will be gracing the blog so soon! I made them on Monday and have been snacking on them all week long!

Enjoy your Friday, ladies! xo

Favorite Pinterest Pins

Show and Tell - IG GraphicToday I’m linking up with Andrea for some Show and Tell Tuesday and we’re talking Pinterest! We all love Pinterest. We could spend hours on it…and I may do just that from time to time. 😉 This post was so fun trying to narrow down some of my favorite and most helpful pins! I love pinning everything from food and fitness, to fashion and decor. Pinterest is such a happy little place where every board is perfectly organized, inspirational, and has your own personal touch. Plus, it’s fun to look back at things I pinned that I would never wear again and can clean it up with one simple click of, “delete.” It’s much easier than cleaning out my own closet. 😉  Pinterest, I love you.7c086c9738ab43f65f6799c7d96830ef
stephanie-spring.comFashion. I love a bold watch, flannel shirt, navy blue and white striped everything, and anything that gives me a little fashion inspiration.

stephanie-spring.comFood. These are without a doubt, some of my favorite go-to recipes. I go back to them time and time again!

http://www.popsugar.com/fitness/10-Minute-Workout-Sexy-Sculpted-Arms-21620326Fitness. I started this arm workout about two years ago and still use it to this day. I love, love, love it! It’s such a quick workout and does wonders!

stephanie-spring.comTeaching. The first picture is an app that helps you level the novels in your classroom. When I taught reading it was super helpful and I loved using it! I have this sign in my classroom as a daily reminder to myself of the power of teaching and learning. The last quote just makes me laugh. This used to be my favorite book and my Mom would always remind me that some days are just terrible, horrible, no good, very bad days. 😉

stephanie-spring.comHome. #goals.

stephanie-spring.comBabies. No, I’m not pregnant. Stop asking. I’ll make an announcement when we are, but in the meantime I’ll pray they turn out as cute as these little ones. 😉 #thingsyoucan’tcontrol

stephanie-spring.comTravel. Italy and Greece are two of my very favorite places in the entire world. Hands down. I could pin pictures of both places all day long and I cannot wait to go back!

What are some of your favorite pins? Fill me in! 🙂 Follow me on Pinterest, here for all of these original pins! Happy Tuesday, friends!

Mmm…Friday, it’s so good to see you! 🙂 I’m linking up with Erika, Narci, and Andrea for our Friday Favorites!

One.

The Fuller house trailer was released this week and I got to watch their interview on Ellen! This used to be one of my favorite shows and I’m a little too excited for February 26th!

I loved the view from our window this week. It was a favorite.

wunderlist.com

Eric and I both use an app called Wunderlist and I’m not sure how we functioned without it?! This week I was thinking how it is probably one of my favorite apps. We use it to sync our grocery list, our list of things to get done around the house, and I use it for a school, “to-do” list. I love that I can access the list on my phone and computer. It’s a favorite.

The Best Gift

3d336dba4b4ef698d6cc8586190bca4c

In the midst of the craziness of life, volunteering seems like one more thing to, “add to the list.” I get it. It seems like a good idea, something we should do, a way to give back. But when? Schedules are jam-packed, there is so much on our to-do list, and we have try to sneak some sleep in there.

Our pastor once said, “One of the best ways to grow closer to people is to volunteer together. There is something that happens when two people come together to help others. It just does.” Another thing he said is that in our crazy mixed up world, volunteering truly adds to our life and makes it so much more rich than we can image. When you take that step, it really does not feel like it is, “one more thing to add to the list.” Instead, adding the experience of volunteering refocuses your time and shifts your priorities. It doesn’t make sense, but neither does this world we live in. Nothing screams love like helping someone else by volunteering on this little love holiday, or any day, really. 🙂 Partnering with a local church can help you get connected with places to volunteer in your community.

In addition to volunteering, there are so many other ways to give other than just locally and of your time. Giving financially to organizations that you believe in is equally as important!

Heifer

Heifer International

Compassion International, Heifer International, and Kiva are three organizations that I absolutely love! I grew up giving to Compassion International and sponsoring a child with my family. In college, I started sponsoring a sweet boy of my own from Peru and have watched him grow and succeed. I love receiving snail mail from him and getting to know him more. To find out more or sponsor a child, click here.

Heifer International is something I decided to support one year around Christmas. I decided to buy my sister and parents an animal for a cause rather than material gifts. It’s a wonderful organization with small and large opportunities! Read more here.

Kiva

Kiva

Kiva is an organization I recently found out about from my sister-in-law and brother-in-law. It is such a great program and such a fun twist on giving back! Read more, here.

There really is nothing better than knowing you’re touching lives around the world. It’s even a great way to give in leu of gifts for any holiday or just because! For more information comment here or e-mail me with any questions!

Happy (almost) lovey day! xo
