Eric and I took a short getaway and it was perfect-o!
Four. They were calling for snow but who knew if it would actually happen. Well, what do you know? We woke up to this. 🙂 It made our time away even more fun and beautiful!
Five. All this snow had me craving these Hot Cocoa Stirers. 🙂
One Dark Chocolate Bar per stirer
Whipped cream or other toppings
What to do:
You will need one chocolate bar per stirer. (I used Dove Dark Chocolate Bars). In a small sauce pan, break the chocolate bars into smaller pieces and melt on medium low to low heat. Stir occasionally to avoid burning and until fully melted. Pour or spoon the melted chocolate into a one inch tray. Place in the refrigerator for about 40 minutes or until firm. Stick a popsicle stick into the center of the cube. Return to the refrigerator for an additional 20 minutes or so.
Place stirer into a mug of heated milk and stir until melted. Top with your favorite toppings! xo
Psstt… I used this one inch Silicone cube tray and it worked great! This and this also look like they would work well!
January felt like the shortest month ever! It flew by and I can’t believe it is already February 2017!
Nonetheless, as always, I’m sharing some of my favorites of the week. 🙂
Well, I got my hair CHOPPED on Saturday. My hair salon has used Hot Tools products since I can remember and after getting such a new hairstyle I had to buy one for myself! Styling is a whole new game now. Also, this hairspray is heavenly to keep the style in place! 🙂
You can go here to read my little snippet about this adorable notebook. 🙂
Three. Smoothie bowls have overtaken my breakfasts the last few weeks and I have no shame. I love my Very Berry Smoothie Bowl and this spoon to go with it!
Whenever I go visit my parents, I get SO excited to spend some time near their fireplace since we don’t have one at our home. They have a standard fireplace in their living room but they have a little one in my Dad’s office that is so cozy and a cross between this and this. I love it!
Five.Sunday is GAME DAY! Be sure to make some of the goodies below!
How is next week already February?! Time is flying and I’m trying to be as intentional I can about the time that’s passing! Here’s to some favorites this Friday and wishing you the best weekend! xo
How cute is this book? I picked it up the other day. It is so fun to flip through and a perfect coffee table book to peruse occasionally. 🙂
I love, love, love linen towels in the kitchen. I was mentioning to my best friend how I was on the search for one and could’t find one I liked. She opened a drawer and handed me one that is similar to both of these. 🙂
Your Italy advice last Friday was SO appreciated! I have been writing each and every suggestion down. Keep it coming! 🙂
Four. You need to try my Game Day Fries and Sauce here!
I’ve had a thing for white pitchers lately. I only have one right now I may order another in the near future. I love putting flowers in them and want to use one for some yummy drink creations. Which is your favorite?
This week was a short one but I’m always ready for a Friday! This weekend will involve a lot of odds and ends, dinner with friends, church and small group. 🙂 But first…
One.If you take a look at the top of my blog, you will see I added a, “SHOP” page. This will be a combination of things I am loving that week that I wanted to share with you. 🙂 I added some kitchen gadgets this week since I will be doing a lot of cooking and baking this weekend. It will range from beauty products to clothes, to decor or things I use in the kitchen. Be sure to check it out and shop around!
You can also find a drop-down menu under, “FOOD” now. 🙂 There may be a few glitches until it’s all worked out but most of the food should be categorized so it’s easier to find. Myself included. 😉
Since Friday Favorites happens every week, they got their own space also! You can find it under, “LIFESTYLE.”
Four.If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen that we officially booked our trip to Italy! I am so excited it’s ridiculous! If you have ever been to Florence or Capri, send ideas and tips my way! 🙂
We made it to Friday only because I’ve been drinking A LOT of this lately. 😉
Banana Republic earrings are a favorite and something I went shopping for this week.
Two.On Monday it was extremely cold all day so we had my Easy Tomato Soup for dinner. Except this time, I made some homemade croutons to pair with it. I debated about sharing this because it’s nothing fancy or mind-blowing. But I will tell you, it added just the perfect amount of crunch and topping to an already tasty soup.
EVOO (enough to coat the bottom of a pan)
What to do:
In a large pan, lightly coat the bottom with EVOO on medium to medium-low heat. Cut the baguette into one inch pieces. Stir occasionally to avoid burning. Remove from heat and place desired amount on top of soup! 🙂
Three. On Wednesday, I mentioned how one of my New Years Goals is for some, “me” time and I want books as a part of that time. I need some recommendations though! I’ve talked about some of my favorite books here and here. I also mentioned a modge-podge here. Leave a comment and fill me in on your favorites! 🙂
Did someone say three day weekend? Thank you, Martin Luther King Jr. 🙂
You can find the winner of the $25 gift card to JORD watches, here!
Happy Friday everyone! I hope your weekend is relaxing and cozy!
