10 Things About Me
You may know I’m a lover of Jesus, a 6’7” man, and coffee, but here are some other fun facts about me for your Monday. 😉
1. I danced for 11 years. I took tap, jazz, ballet, hip-hop, and lyrical.
2. I am allergic to grass and trees. Fun, right? Zyrtec is my best friend.
3. I am definitely a morning person. I try to accomplish as much as possible before noon because I hit an afternoon lull and just try to sail through the rest of the day. 😉
4. I originally wanted to be a nurse and applied to colleges with that in mind. Out of the five I applied to, I was accepted to four colleges for their nursing program and offered scholarships from all. Messiah College, which I didn’t apply to for nursing or get a scholarship was the one I ended up choosing and majored in Health and Exercise Science. After a semester into college, God blatantly made it known that I should switch to Education and I followed. God has a funny way of working things out.
5. I have a deep love for North and South Carolina and planned on moving there before Eric and I started dating.
6. I studied abroad in Athens, Greece for 3 months in college and visited Milan, Italy which I instantly fell in love with.
7. I’ve taught second and third grade. Last year I taught all subjects in 5th grade but recently switched to just teaching 5th grade math and I LOVE it!
8. I put peppermint mocha creamer in my coffee every morning. I’ve tried to break the habit here and there but always go back. It’s still a work in progress.
9. IÂ get really passionate about good food and life around the table. I think it’s so important to take time to make and enjoy good, healthy food.
10. I’m a beach (and pool) bum. You will find me at the pool at least five days a week over the summer. It is by far my favorite way to relax. Give me 90 degrees any day. 😉
