Memory Lane

Today, I’m linking up with Andrea and taking a trip down memory lane to some of my favorites! This post made me so nostalgic and want to go back to being a kid for just a day! ha! It also screams the 90’s like it’s my job. Sit back, relax, and enjoy! My favorite’s the grainy commercial. 😉

Shows:          Saved by the Bell

Full House

Family Matters

All of these shows were staples in our home growing up and ones I would still watch on repeat to this day if more time allowed. 😉

Toys:
I was obsessed to the max.

Who remembers Skip It?! Appearently you can still buy it here!

Lincoln Logs. My sister and I would spend hours playing with these!

Movies:Beethoven

It Takes Two

The Parent Trap

And of course…who can forget these?! Happy Tuesday friends!

Aloha Smoothie with prAna

I was talking to a friend the other day about how I need to switch up my workout routine. Thank goodness for some good ol’ sunshine these days, that is making a world of difference. In my mind, being outside is one of the best parts of the change from winter to spring. (Cold weather and I just don’t mix very well!) Do you want to know one of the other best factors to get me motivated? New workout gear. I’ve heard it said time and time again and tried to convince myself that my high school tee and older shorts were just fine. Although they are and get the job done, there is something about a new set of clothing that ups the ante for that early morning, eyes-still-half-asleep workout. Am I right or am I right? 😉

Whether it’s yoga, going for a run, or simply a walk, taking time to slow down and enjoy you is really what working out is all about. Pair your workout with some this fair trade, organic comfies from prAna and you are set! If nothing else, this Aloha Smoothie post-workout is refreshing and refuels you when you need it most! I like to workout early in the morning so this smoothie can serve two purposes: Post workout food and breakfast. Embrace this season sipping on something healthy for you while wearing something that is sustainable.

Friday Favorites

Friday’s are one of my favorite days and here are some of my favorite things this week. You know the drill…:)

One.My things I seem to accumulate from point A to Point B seem to be neverending these days. From school, to grocery shopping, Eric’s games, and so on, it’s nice to have my things all in one place. My Market Tote arrived from Urban Southern last week and I have been using it ever since! It’s perfect for all the necessities and more. (I’m picturing filling it with goodies at Farmer’s Markets this summer too!) I also already plan on taking it on the plane ride this summer as my carry-on.Shirt/Bag

Two.My Mexican Double Chocolate Ice Cream. Another ice cream recipe is coming in the next few weeks. 😉 Get ready!

Three.

My skin has been a little all over the place lately because…life happens??? I ordered Young Living’s Beauty Serum combined with FAB’s moisturizer. Life changing.

Four.

Sleeping in on Saturday morning!

Five.Last week I talked about some of my favorite baby shower books. I cannot believe I forgot this book! It’s so sweet and the books to follow are adorable as well. 🙂

Happy Friday friends!

Summer Bucket List

Here we are, less than one month before school lets out for the year. This year has included a lot of soul-searching changes that have done nothing but drawn me closer to what matters the most. However, I am still beyond excited for a break and everything that summer brings with it. This summer is looking a little different than previous ones though. It’s filled with a lot more down time and I’m not complaining one bit. I want to be extremely intentional and make the most of my time though, since I feel really fortunate to have it. A bucket list seemed like the ideal thing to hold myself accountable. Slightly cheesy? Yes. Absolutely needed? Yes, yes, yes! I love lists and this one just had some more fun things added than normal. 😉 Here you are!

  1. Read at least 10 books. Why not?
  2. Get outside. This weather only lasts so long.
  3. Work out 4 times a week. Because.
  4. Write snail mail. Who doesn’t love getting a card/letter in the mail?
  5. Give skin time to breathe. My normal routine, (Liquid, foundation, color, conceal, eyeliner, mascara , lips) isn’t anything crazy but summer gives me an extra excuse to go without. 🙂
  6. Sunscreen. Wear it.
  7. Print out wedding pictures. Two years later is better than nothing.
  8. Try a new coffee shop. That sounds perfect right now.
  9. Visit family during the week and throughout the day. I always want to do this while I’m working and can’t.
  10.  Clean out closets. Leaves room for new things. 😉

They are in no particular order and simple…but I love it that way. 🙂
