Show and Tell Tuesday + Favorite Vacation

Today, we’re talking all about our favorite vacations! I have been extremely blessed with the opportunity to go on a lot of vacations that were nothing short of amazing. One of my all time favorite vacations though was a girls trip in the midst of studying abroad in Greece. I talk about Greece like it’s my job but I don’t technically consider it a vacation since I lived there. 😉 A few weeks after arriving in Greece, Mace and I decided to go to the fashion capital of the world: Milan, Italy. We were instantly in awe with all it had to offer. The architecture, language, shopping, food and atmosphere were incredible and we had every intention of soaking up every inch!We ate, drank, shopped, painted, got pampered, and loved life. We made friends, learned about life in Milan and loved every second of it. It is consistently a vacation that appears in my memory when I think of a favorite and I am so, so thankful!

This week was c-r-a-z-y but you can always find me linking up with Erika, Narci, and Andrea for my Friday Favorites. 😉

 

One.

I’ve heard coconut oil is a great make-up remover but was so hesitant to try it. On Monday I bit the bullet and tried it! OH MY WORD! It works like a charm, smells amazing (coconut is one of my favorite smells), and is all natural. Best of all, I got a massive jar at Costco for my homemade granola and now have multiple purposes for it. You can’t beat the price or the result!

Two.A friend had mentioned how great this book is! Within one click I ordered it, and two days later it was at my door. Thanks Amazon prime. 😉 I can’t wait to read it!

A had a hair appointment that was way overdue. It’s the little things. 🙂

The end of the school year is quickly approaching (T-10 days, but who’s counting?!) 😉 I love when students pay attention to my favorites things throughout the year: my favorite color, food, that I’m a coffee drinker, etc. Gifts are by NO means expected but it sure does make me go into giddy school-girl mode when students arrive with a bag of goodies. It’s thoughtful and oh so sweet! These are things I hope to give back to my kid’s teachers someday. Remember how far a simple gift can go! Happy Thursday!

Pina Colada Hemp Smoothie

pina-colada-hemp-smoothieHemp hearts. What are they? Well, I’m so glad you asked. 😉 I bought them for a muffin recipe after realizing the abundant amount of nutritious value in them. They are a great source of protein, vitamin E, and omega three’s. The neutral taste can be added to a variety of recipes. After making the muffins, I wanted to try out these little guys for something else. Something new. Naturally I went to Pinterest and found this fun smoothie recipe. We conveniently had all of the ingredients and it took about one click before I was making this concoction in our Vitamix and sipping its goodness. I had Eric try it and we both loved how refreshing it tasted. You can read the original recipe here! Yum! Enjoy! 🙂
