What’s Up Wednesday: October
What we’re eating this week:My homemade granola. I’ve made it two weeks in a row and we’ve been having it for breakfast or just to snack on. ๐ย
What I’m reminiscing about:How this guy has been dancing in heaven for almost a year now.ย
What I’m loving:
Eric and I both use the YouVersion Bible App for our devotions once and awhile to switch things up. It’s free to download and super easy to use. This month I started the plan, “30 Days of Heartwork.” The idea is to live different for 30 days and it may just change the way you live forever. It’s extremely powerful and written beautifully.
What we’ve been up to:
We have been trying to slow down any chance we can get. ๐ย
What I’m dreading:
Okay, here’s the deal. I loathe taking my make-up off at night. It drives me nuts. I love my F.A.B. cleanser, and coconut oil, but I’m also open to switching it up just for my nighttime routine of removing make-up. Any tips or tricks that anyone has to make it quick and easier?!
What I’m working on:
I’m giving away some of myย favorite things in December! (Like that lovely book above!) ;)Keep an eye out for them for your chance to win!
What I’m excited about:
ALL THINGS HOLIDAY! I love the Holidays so much!ย
What I’m watching/reading:
I watched this movie last week and cried through almost all of it. It made me want to call up my entire family and have them over. Such a good reminder of what matters.ย
I’m slowly reading my way through this book and absolutely love her insight and perspective.ย
What I’m listening to:
This song.
What I’m wearing:A really random assortment of teacher attire, casual, and classic looks.
What I’m doing this weekend:
Get ready…we have a wedding! As if that’s new news around here. ๐
What I’m looking forward to next month:
Being with family for Thanksgiving. ๐
What else is new:
Each day has been bringing it’s own joys as well as challenges. This is definitely a season of change but I am SO thankful I am surrounded by the people I love.ย
Bonus Question:ย What is your favorite Halloween memory/picture/tradition?
One year I begged and begged my Mom for a specific costume (I forget what it was now) and the second I put it on I started crying because it itched so bad! I took it off within a few minutes and wore “regular clothes” to trick or treat. ha! I don’t think that’s a favorite but it’s definitely memorable. ๐ย

Have the best Wednesday!

I’m always looking for a quicker way to take my make-up off as well. On my super lazy days I use Cetaphil wipes for my face and then liquid eye makeup for my eyes because I can’t stand to go to bed with mascara on. Also, I’m excited to see you are reading Rising Strong as well. I picked it up by mistake thinking it was another book I was looking for and it’s just what I needed to read this month. I talked about it on my What’s Up Wednesday post too! Hope you have a great week ๐

If you don’t do heavy makeup, Micellar Water has been a life saver for me. Just put a little on a cotton ball and wipe my face with it and I’m done. It’s great! I remember switching to this after reading an article about it – I think on Huffington Post? I got a huge bottle from Garnier and it is lasting me for forever!

I swear I left a comment on here yesterday but now I dont see it! lol I love love love this link up! It’s so fun to do, when I remember to do it, ha! I will be trying out that granola recipe next week for sure ๐ My nighttime routine is super quick and easy: 1. Wipe/remove all makeup with Burts Bee’s Cleansing wipes ( I am so tired after putting the two little ones to bed, this is a huge time saver for me!)
2. Roll Frankincense essential oil all over my face focusing on where I am starting to see lines/aging
3. Put on Jason Vitamin E 25,000 I.U cream on face and neck
That’s it! I love the Jason cream especially in the winter months when my face gets super dry!
P.S That Halloween story is adorbs!

I need to try this asap! Since I’m now completely addicted to essential oils–especially Frankincense! xo

I hate taking my makeup off each night too! I sometimes take it off in the shower if I decide to shower that night instead of the next morning. If I don’t shower at night, then I have tried to make a habit of getting ready for bed a couple of hours before we actually go to bed. I usually get sleepy laying on the couch watching tv before bed so when we do go to bed I don’t feel like washing my face and all that jazz. I have noticed these two things really help!
