Friday Favorites + Urban Southern

Friday Favorites 01This week has been filled with a lot of Christmas music to keep somewhat of a hop in my step. 😉 Here’s to the a fun-filled weekend that involves a 5K, Friendsgiving, and a lot of relaxing all weekend long. 🙂

One. I heard of the company Urban Southern from Andrea’s blog and fell in love with their bags. Their bags are made of impeccable craftmanship, beautiful leather, and are so spacious! It can hold some of my favorite goodies plus my huge blanket scarf. Win- win. 😉 I am head over heels with my new sidekick and it is by far my favorite bag I have ever received. You can find the bag I ordered, here!

This showed up as I was scrolling through Instagram the other day and I got so excited. These used to be my favorite episodes! I love Oprah’s Favorite Things. 🙂

Three.dsc_0125Can we talk about this Thanksgiving side dish?! I had to hold myself back from eating the entire serving I made. Recipe, here!

Four.I used another brand for a little and now I’m back at it. Favorite, here!

Five.My friend and I met for coffee at a bakery we have never been to. Best decision ever! It was the coziest of spots and was all decked out for Christmas. (Which I obviously loved). So fun to catch up and try and hold myself back from ordering one of everything.

Happy Friday friends and a huge thank you to Urban Southern for the best leather bags around. 🙂

I’m linking up with Erika, Narci, Andrea, Tif, April, and Karli!

Stranded Island + Outerwear

I went against the grain on this one and didn’t necessarily list three pieces of outerwear I would bring on an island because I’m hoping it will at least be warm there. 😉 I stuck to my favorite pieces that I adore and have been a staple for several years.
1. JCrew City Coat 2. North Face Fleece 3. Gap Vest

1. JCrew City Coat: I got this coat last year and I’m kind of obsessed with it. It’s great quality and keeps me warm, which is a must! I bought it in seaside coral but it comes in a variety of colors! 🙂

2. North Face Fleece: Buying this fleece in college was a staple around campus. So naturally, I bought it. But in all honestly, I love this fleece. It’s so warm, heavy-duty, and versatile. I’m now eyeing up this sweater. I also have a beanie from The North Face that I love! Similar, here.

3. Gap Vest– I have had my puffer vest since high school and still wear it. Good thing they remain each season. 😉

Last but not least, gloves. (I know, I added more than four pieces of outerwear but tis’ the season). 😉 I bought these gloves four years ago when we planned a trip to New York. They have the tech touch screen design and work out great. However, my hands are cold so often that I’m up for any glove recommendations. Send them my way and have an amazing Wednesday! I’ll be over here listening to Christmas music any chance I get! xo

Classic Accessories + Wishlist

There are staples in a kitchen that will never grow old. Styles may change; yes. But the purpose and use of certain items found in a kitchen drawer or cupboard never cease to exist. Although I have mentioned some of my favorite pieces in other posts, I felt as though these gems deserved a condensed version of their very own. Here they are for you to see and purchase because let’s be honest, they will make a perfect gift for the kitchen lover or yourself. 🙂

Speaking of some of my favorites…don’t get me wrong, I’m just as guilty as the next person to go from Halloween to Christmas in about 0.02 seconds. However, Thanksgiving deserves it’s place in the spotlight! I put together a fun Thanksgiving wishlist for you and for me. 🙂

Have the best Wednesday!

Friday Favorites

Friday Favorites 01We made it to Friday, so it’s basically the weekend. After today, I will be changing into some pajamas and cozying up on the couch. Then, I will be dancing my heart out at a wedding on Saturday night! I hope everyone has a fun and relaxing weekend ahead!

One.https://api.shopstyle.com/action/apiVisitRetailer?id=3261105&pid=uid7716-33410654-56

Last night I went to Sephora and thought about possibly trying a new mascara. Buuuut Cliniques High Impact Mascara has been tried and true. It lasts all day, doesn’t smudge, and is easy to take off at night. I love it and always buy it in “Black 01.”

Two.

On our coffee table, I have a candle holder that is basically a modge podge of this holder and this one. The one we own isn’t in stock anymore or else I’d be sharing it with you in a heartbeat! Each season I try to fill it with something seasonal and love it!

My Taco Soup has perfect for this time of year. 1. It’s easy to make. 2. I love taking it to my friends after they just had a baby. 🙂 3. It freezes great! 4. It’s delicious! You find find the recipe, here!

Four.

This verse stuck out this week and was extremely comforting.

“I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” John 16: 33.

Five.

These jeans. Amen.

Happy Friday! 🙂
