What’s Up Wednesday: June

What we’re eating this week:We have been eating a lot of smoothies from here! (I guess that’s drinking but you get the idea!)

What I’m reminiscing about:Our wedding! Next month will be our one year anniversary and memories are flooding back. 🙂

What I’m loving:That my best friend and I chatted it up with Justin Nozuka at his concert. 😉

What we’ve been up to:We’ve been spending a lot of time at the pool and loving every second of it!

What I’m dreading:

Honestly…nothing! 🙂

What I’m working on:

Cooking and baking. All the time. Anything you want to see?!

What I’m excited about:

Going to see the movie Me Before You so soon!

What I’m watching/reading:

What I’m listening to:

As always…a little bit of this and a little bit of that.

What I’m wearing:1. Printed Chiffon 2. Striped Gauze Tassel 3. Floral Cover Up Dress 4. Carnival Printed V-Neck 5. Floral Long Kimono 6. Crinkle Chiffon Kimono 7. Cocoon 8. Lily Pulitzer

Basically a beach cover up or my summer style here and here!

What I’m doing this weekend:

We have a Fourth of July party and I’ll most likely be wearing something festive like this!

What I’m looking forward to next month:

Our anniversary!

What else is new:

Not a lot and I am completely fine with that!

Bonus Question: What is your favorite July 4th tradition and/or recipe?

We don’t exactly have traditions other than spending time with friends and family each and every year. I love that. Simple and fun. 🙂 I definitely love festive July 4th food but I also love picnic food which leads me to my favorite picnic dish…here!

Have a great Wednesday friends!

Friday Favorites

Friday Favorites 01Oh hey Friday! I’m linking up with Erika, Narci, and Andrea!

One.Nov11-Cafe-MenuIMG_6272On Saturday, Eric and I had a date night at Terrain at Styers. We sat outside under the lights, ate amazing food, and talked all about life. It was perfect. 🙂

I have been trying to wash my hair a lot less to help it grow and stay healthy. Someone mentioned that corn starch can help with any grease after a few days! I’m here to tell you… it definitely works! I sprinkle a little in my hair and it feels like I just washed it.

Three.

I have been in love with all the summer flavors lately. What are some of your favorites and what types of recipes do you like seeing the most?!

Speaking of the pool…I finished this book yesterday as I was sunbathing and hoped no one saw the few tears sneak out of my eyes. Such a good book!
