How to Win My Heart

Show and Tell - IG GraphicI’m linking up with Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesday: How to Win my Heart!

stephanie-spring.comAbout two and a half years ago, this guy won my heart and I am so glad he did. 🙂

Early on in our relationship, Eric and I read, “The Five Love Languages” to figure out the best ways to love each other. I know it may sound silly but it seriously helped! We’re in this for the long haul and I don’t want to be going above and beyond with things that aren’t of importance to him.stephanie-spring.comEric is very driven, knows what he wants, loves Jesus and is talented in so many ways. He’s smart, athletic and funny. I could go on and on. He’s great. But how did he win my heart?

One of the most important gifts Eric gives me is his time. He really devotes time for just the two of us. It is honestly one of the best ways he loves me. He is also extremely thoughtful. One year he surprised me with an Easter basket filled to the brim with all my favorite things. You would have thought I won the lottery! I was so smitten because he knew me so well, had thought through buying everything, and surprised me in the process.stephanie-spring.com

There are two things that win my heart in general. They just do. Over and over again. Dark chocolate and Cabernet Sauvignon. I mention both a lot throughout the week. From time to time, Eric stocks up and hides both of these things so that when I mention that I’m really craving dark chocolate or could use a glass of wine, it’s right there. He’s thoughtful and that, without a doubt, wins my heart.

I love a good hand written note. Eric and I started this before we were even, “officially” dating and it gets me every time. I have saved every single note he has written me. This is so special to both of us, that for our wedding he bought me a vintage mailbox from France, “So we would always have a place to leave each other notes.”

There you have it, ladies! How did your man win your heart? 🙂

Recipe found at: stephanie-spring.comOne of my favorite drinks is hot chocolate. It’s simple, delicious, and can be finished with a variety of toppings. As I was Christmas shopping, I stumbled upon these spoons and realized they would be the perfect pair to any hot drink, for any time of year. Give me the people I love, a warm blanket, and a mug filled to the brim with hot chocolate, lots of whipped cream and crushed peppermint and I’ve officially reached my happy place. Go pour yourself and your loved ones some hot chocolate and use a cute spoon to stir it up!

Hand Stamped Just For You

stephanie-spring.comstephanie-spring.comstephanie-spring.comstephanie-spring.comstephanie-spring.comLadies…It’s time to talk jewelry! In my mind, simplicity is key. I love pieces that are simple, yet original. Last year, Eric commented on a gold bar necklace that I bought. He loved it. Little did he know, I picked it up at a random store at the mall for next to nothing. Well, after a few short months, it got tarnished and I wanted something with some more sentiment, knowing how much he loved the style. Fast forward to Christmas and I decided to treat myself (and I suppose him 😉 ) by purchasing a quality necklace and ring. I ordered the gold bar necklace from Jessica N Designs with our wedding date engraved and a stackable ring, which is riding solo (for now), because they had meaning behind them…meaningful dates, and initials of a person that I hold close to my heart and always will. Whether it’s a ring or necklace, these are perfect reminders of those special moments and people who matter the most in your life. This is such a sweet gift for anyone on any occasion. You can’t go wrong here. I promise!
