Friday Favorites

Oh my goodness, do I need a Friday! ๐Ÿ™‚ Don’t we all? You know the drill, here are my favorites from this past week.

One.

Earlier this week I talked about how I love keeping our home cozy (here) and blankets (like the ones below!) are a big part of that!

Yesterday my heart kept growing heavier with a lot of news. I am just so thankful that God knows our tomorrow’s and that there is always something to be grateful for.

Four.It rained a lot this week, which was perfect for my Easy Tomato Soup. Pair it with some grilled cheese for your weekend or a weeknight next week! ๐Ÿ™‚

Five.

My sister and I used to LOVE this movie and it’s always fun to rewatch this time of year. ๐Ÿ™‚

I pray your Friday is a great one filled with movies, blankets, and a bowl of soup! xo

Friday Favorites

It. Is. Friday! Yay! We had parent-teacher conferences (which I love!) on Wednesday and Thursday which leads me to my very first favorite of this week…

One.

…I am probably still sleeping as you read this. ๐Ÿ™‚ That my friends, is a favorite after a long week! We also have off for Columbus Day so I am SUPER thankful for a four-day weekend to catch up on life. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I’m also almost positive that anyone who knows me well can vouch that I need my sleep! Ha!

Two. I also did two activities this week with my students that have been of FAVORITE of the year so far. I feel like students need many different representations of fractions as possible to really grasp the idea of what a fraction is. I found this fun activity and the kids had a blast making the kites! ๐Ÿ™‚

Three. Thanks to Andrea, I also talked to my class about the importance of brightening someones day. We made these cards and the kids were SO sweet and excited about them! It made my week! ๐Ÿ™‚

Four.

My No-Bake Pumpkin Cocoa Energy Bites are so simple and festive for this time of year. Who doesn’t want some pumpkin, chocolate, and energy?!

Five.I’ve been clinging to this verse all week. Have a great Friday everyone!

Today I thought I’d switch things up by sharing what my top five posts are thanks to YOU!ย Here we go…

One.My Homemade Lemon Larabarsย is my most viewed post and by far my post pinned recipe! I totally get it because they are DELICIOUS! If you haven’t pinned this yet, you have to!

Two.This made me smile so much. ๐Ÿ™‚ I went a little deep into what our marriage (and Eric) means to me in this post and it was the second most popular post on my blog. ๐Ÿ™‚ I love him. ๐Ÿ™‚

Three. It made me laugh that this post was so popular but then again, I’m always looking for a new, everyday remedy!

Four.

Friday Favorites

It’s Friday and boy am I thankful for it because I am ready for a weekend! I have meetings all day at school, we’re headed to my hometown fair, and then a wedding tomorrow! ๐Ÿ™‚

One.Our hometown fair is a FAVORITE of mine every year! (Eric and I don’t live in this town but it’s where I grew up and still so fun to go back!) Ah! The fair has been a big part of my life and I have never missed a year. My Mom has been going since she was 10 years old. When my Dad and Mom started dating, he started going and he now hasn’t missed a year since. My Grandma used to be the head of the kitchen committee and then my Mom took over after she passed away 14 years ago.

I have memories of helping out in the kitchen every single night of the fair and loving every second of it. It holds so many memories and I am SO thankful for them. Plus, the funnel cakes, pork barbecue, and milkshakes hold a special place in my heart too. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Two.These No Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars are just too good to pass up!

Three.I went to an apple orchard on Sunday and oh my goodness…it was SO fun and should be added to your bucket list!

Four.

Eric and I had a breakfast date on Thursday and that always starts the day off right. ๐Ÿ™‚

Five.

Thanks to Food Babe, I’ve been making my own coconut milk. It’s actually cheaper than buying it in the store, ten times healthier, and even tastes better! I used this canned coconut!

What are some of your weekend plans?! xo

Friday Favorites

Friday is heeeeere! ๐Ÿ™‚ I always get so excited on Fridays. I love them. ๐Ÿ™‚ Five of my favorites from the week are below! xo

One. I’ve really been trying to add more hands-on activities in the classroom. Students seem to really struggle in 5th grade with understanding what a fraction actually is. They can add them, subtract, multiply, and divide them, but to really understand what a fraction is…is very different. I found these foam circles last year and got so excited to use them right away! I had students compare fractions with the foam pieces so they could visually see the difference, instead of just on paper. They loved it. ๐Ÿ™‚

Two.I love our church so much. It does an amazing job of reaching out locally and globally. Two weeks ago, they asked everyone to help, “stuff the truck.” There was a large truck that a volunteer was driving to help with the hurricane. The truck was packed and the church gave so much! I love how giving everyone is. ๐Ÿ™‚

Three.I mentioned yesterday on Instagram how I was making Blueberry Crisp (which I ate yesterday morning with my Grandma). So sweet! ๐Ÿ™‚ You can also find a twist on Blueberry Crisp with my Blueberry Crumble recipe, here!ย

Four.

In case you needed this reminder today. ๐Ÿ™‚

Five. There’s nothing quite like putting some fresh soap on the sink and loooooving the scent. I bought these three scents (basil,ย honeysuckle,ย lavender)ย and love each and every one! It’s the little things in life. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Happy Friday friends!
